NY Gov. Paterson is still angry about SNL's skit mocking him...so he's decided to get back: NY gov proposes tax on drinks, downloaded music.
Nice.
How many taxes will be enough? Just because there are more things to tax, doesn't mean we should tax them.

Taxing drinks that contain less than 70% fruit juice?? They may as well just call these new taxes "happy taxes"...you know, tax anything that brings enjoyment...of course, if I get started ranting on taxes, I'll never stop. :)
No question at all that NY is leading the way with, "If it moves - tax it" mentality. My state is famous for avoiding new taxes, it just adds or increased fees on stuff.
