I've been reading your blog on and off for a while, but never commented. I now have a son deployed to the sandbox, and his wife is living with us while he's gone. It's nice to have a piece of him home this Christmas. I have another Air Force son who is in Alaska and won't be home for Christmas either. I'll sure miss them both. Anyway, I'm glad you're heading home for Christmas and I hope you have a safe and wonderful trip.

may I add to the following: burritos, clean air, traffic laws, rain, cold weather (yes, i'm allowed to miss the cold and hot at the same time), skiing in Tahoe, my cat. i'm stuck in Egypt for another 6 months, and I've never appreciated America so much as I do now.
