I think I need to buy one of these cookbooks just for collectors value's sake:
On testing the recipes, one member of the book team disliked the glazed carrots but says the carrots "did not sink to the level of torture."

That's fascinating... I wonder who thought up the idea to put those recipies in a published cookbook? Honestly, the eight ingredients or less thing sounds like a fabulous idea in general - think how many folks with kids could use that kind of easy-on-the-budget and easy-on-time recipe help!
